Blaire Porter was a three-time North East Conference Pitcher of the Year at LIU. After ending her stellar playing career, Porter was named pitching coach in 2011 and led the LIU pitching staff to a 2011 NCAA Softball regional appearance before falling to the national power house Arizona State. During Porter's career, she had the opportunity to pitch against some of the best college softball teams in the country including, Arizona State, Michigan, Ohio State, Purdue, Iowa, UMass, Washington, Arizona, Hofstra, and Oregon.
Porter fired 5 no-hitters during her career with the Lady Black Birds and was selected to the NFCA All-Northeast Region 1st team from 2008 to through 2010. Featuring a fastball in the upper 60's and a drop and rise ball during her playing career, Porter's ability to teach all pitches and increase velocity made her a player favorite with the LIU pitches and area high school pitchers she trained in the off-season.
Blaire will oversee the pitching programs at all Frozen Ropes locations and help train high school level players in the Hudson Valley area. Porter will also act as a College Bound Counselor that assists high school players in selecting a college program that fits their academic and athletic goals.
